I am still not totally registered for all my courses here at UCD. I am supposedly required to take six courses at five credits each (30 credits) for the semester, I am trying to see if I can just take 5 courses, as six seems an overwhelming amount and 25 credits would still be full time for two quarters at UW. I didn't get into any of the sociology courses that I wanted. There are a few that I may be able to register for, but I have a feeling that I won't be getting any major requirements done while I am here. If I am looking at my program requirements properly it shouldn't be a problem when I return to UW as I will have a whole year to finish and I don't think I need that many more upper division courses. I don't know.
I am currently registered for
The Art of Narrative, a class that discusses irish folklore, legend and oral history.
Dublin: It's Museums, an art history course about dublin museums!
Ireland Uncovered, a multidisciplinary look at Irish culture and history for international students
Memory and Identity in Irish Literature, a lit course about those themes
so I will be taking very interesting things and all of them have to do with Ireland. While I may be slightly behind then on my sociology courses, I will have a nice foundation of information about Irish culture from various perspectives.
But until I get this sorted I'm feeling a bit like this
I guess if they let you only take 5 then that would be a good plan...But if not see if you can maybe find a more basic level class in something...so it's not too hard, Good luck working it out!!
